Location only when you tap
No background GPS. Cekin records your location and street address only at the moment you check in, and nowhere else.
Safety check-ins, without the tracking
Cekin is a privacy-first safety check-in app for people who live alone, travel solo or just want someone to notice. Tap once to say you’re fine. Miss a check-in and your emergency contacts are alerted, along with where you last checked in.

Good morning,
Sari
Be Sari for a second. Tap it.

Sari lives on her own in Yogyakarta. Her daughter Dewi works in Jakarta, a long day’s drive away. Every morning, with her first glass of tea, Sari taps once. That’s it. No call to remember, no one following her around on a map.
Dewi glances at Cekin between meetings and sees Ibu checked in at 7:02. And on the morning the tap doesn’t come, Dewi gets a heads-up, then an all-clear the moment Ibu checks in.
Love, minus the worrying.
Sari and Dewi are an illustrative story. Photos on this page are AI-generated.
Cekin stays out of your way until a check-in is missed. Then it escalates gently, from reminders to a missed check-in alert for your emergency contacts, and only as far as it needs to.
Set a check-in interval that fits your life, like every 12 or 24 hours. Cekin quietly counts down in the background.
Sari picks 24 hours, around breakfast.
One tap tells your circle you are okay. It saves your location at that moment and restarts the countdown.
Tea, tap, done.
Missed it? You get reminders and a grace period to check in, and your contacts get a heads-up that you are late.
Busy morning at the market? Happens.
If the grace period runs out, your contacts get an urgent alert with the location and address of your last check-in.
Dewi would know where to start.
If nobody would notice for a day or two that something went wrong, Cekin makes sure someone does.

Wulan, 39 · night shiftsA simple lone worker check-in for night shifts, site visits and field work, with alerts if you go quiet.
A personal safety app should not feel like being watched. Unlike family location-sharing apps, Cekin has no background tracking and shares as little as it can, with as few people as possible.
No background GPS. Cekin records your location and street address only at the moment you check in, and nowhere else.
Contacts have to accept your request before they see anything. Remove anyone, anytime.
Pick which contacts can see your last check-in location. Everyone sees it only if an alert goes out.
Delete your account and its data from inside the app, or from this website if you no longer have it installed.
Being someone’s emergency contact is easy. Dewi can see who has added her, whether they’re safe, when they last checked in, and who might need a call.

You choose your check-in interval (for example, 12 or 24 hours) to suit your routine. A countdown keeps track of your next check-in, and a single tap in the mobile app confirms you are safe and restarts the timer.
We don't trigger alerts immediately. When your timer reaches zero you enter a grace period and receive reminder notifications. Your emergency contacts are notified that you missed your check-in, and an urgent alert is sent if the grace period expires without a check-in.
No. Cekin never tracks you in the background. Your GPS location and the matching street address are recorded only at the moment you check in. Your approved emergency contacts can see your last check-in time and status, and you choose which of them can also see the location of your most recent check-in. If you miss a check-in and the grace period runs out, all of them can see it so they can help.
Location-sharing apps follow you around all day. Cekin works the other way round: nobody sees where you are unless you check in, and your contacts only hear from Cekin when a check-in is missed. You get the reassurance of a safety net without living on a map.
Anyone who wants someone to notice if they go quiet: people who live alone, older adults and the families who look out for them, solo travellers, hikers and people who work alone. It is also for the emergency contacts themselves, who can see at a glance that the people they care about are okay.
Yes. To protect privacy and prevent spam, the people you add as emergency contacts must have the Cekin app and accept your request before they can see your status or receive alerts. You can remove a contact at any time.
