1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Cekin ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Cekin is a safety check-in application that allows users to perform regular check-ins and notify designated emergency contacts if they miss a check-in. The App provides location-based safety monitoring, emergency contact notification, and related features as described in the app documentation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Cekin. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.

4. Account Registration

To use Cekin, you must create an account providing accurate and complete information including your name, email address, and phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use Cekin only for its intended purpose of safety check-ins. You shall not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Misuse the emergency contact notification system
• Provide false location information
• Attempt to access another user's account without authorization
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others

6. Emergency Contacts

By adding an emergency contact, you confirm that you have obtained their consent to receive notifications from Cekin. Emergency contacts are notified if you miss a check-in and receive an urgent alert if the grace period expires. Once a contact has accepted, they can see your last check-in time and your status at any time, and the location and address of your most recent check-in unless you have turned off location sharing for that contact. If the grace period expires without a check-in, your last check-in location is shared with all approved contacts. You can remove an emergency contact at any time. You are responsible for keeping your list of emergency contacts up to date.

7. Location Services

Cekin requires access to your device's location services to function properly. You grant Cekin permission to collect and use your location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable location services at any time through your device settings, but this may prevent the App from functioning correctly.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Cekin, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Cekin, including but not limited to the app design, software code, graphics, and branding, are owned by Cekin and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Cekin is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Cekin is a safety tool and should not be your sole means of ensuring personal safety. We strongly recommend maintaining multiple safety practices and not relying exclusively on this application.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cekin and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes but is not limited to damages for personal safety incidents, lost data, or service interruptions. You use the App at your own risk.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cekin, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time in the app or on our website at /account-deletion. Accounts that are more than 7 days old and have no emergency contacts are inactive: we will send a warning notification and the account will be automatically deleted 7 days later unless you add an emergency contact before then. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Indonesia.
